Short Course & Symposium “Vaccinology: Science and Public Health 2025”

The Vaccine Research and Development Center, DEJIMA Infectious Disease Research Alliance, Nagasaki University is pleased to announce that the Nagasaki University Synergy center, with support from AMED SCARDA, will host the “Vaccinology: Science and Public Health 2025” short course in collaboration with the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) from Monday, September 1 to Friday, September 5, 2025.

This intensive, English-language course offers a comprehensive overview of vaccinology, covering topics such as basic medical science, vaccine development, efficacy evaluation, policy implementation, public health impact, and pandemic preparedness. Lectures and group work will provide participants with a broad and in-depth understanding of the field.

As part of the program, we will also host a Symposium featuring Japanese and UK public health experts and vaccine researchers. The symposium will be open to the public and free of charge, providing a unique opportunity for a wide range of researchers to engage in high-level discussions on vaccine strategy and pandemic preparedness.
