長崎大学感染症研究出島特区ワクチン研究開発拠点は，2025年9月1日～5日にワクチン学のシンポジウム「Symposium on Vaccinology: Science and Public Health 2025」を開催しました．本シンポジウムは国立研究開発法人日本医療研究開発機構（AMED）先進的研究開発戦略センター（SCARDA）のご協賛の下，長崎大学大学院熱帯医学・グローバルヘルス研究科（TMGH）およびロンドン大学衛生熱帯医学大学院（LSHTM）との共催で実施されました．
シンポジウムに連動するかたちで，ワクチン学短期研修コース「Course on Vaccinology: Science and Public Health 2025」も同一日程で実施されました．
本シンポジウムでは計8セッションが5日間にわたり開催されました．ワクチンのサイエンスと公衆衛生の幅広い側面について，予防接種分野を志す学生から第一線のワクチン研究者までが一堂に会し，白熱した議論が展開されました．
